Despite his impairment, Solomon is able to navigate his surroundings by tying a long rope around his waist that stays tethered to the cabin where he lives. Armed with only his tether, Solomon survives by fishing, foraging, and trapping small animals for food. His only other stimulation is a tape recorded message containing three mysterious rules: The First Rule: When you hunt or scavenge, do it for two--one for the forest and one for you. The Second Rule: When your will is almost gone and you feel like giving up, find comfort in singing our song. The Third Rule: You must never, ever let go of the rope. Hugo S Raised and then abandoned by his protective mother, a blind boy lives alone in a secluded cabin in the woods. He unexpectedly befriends a hunter and together they will face a mysterious creature lurking in the dark. "Tethered" reminds us that sometimes our personal growth implies leaving behind what we were raised to believe. The creature is an extension of the boy's grief, inviting him to break the rules that no longer serve him. Except for its relevant message, the movie is forgettable in a blink of an eye! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review Timothy H Regardless of the bad reviews this movie seemed to garner, I thought it was a decent movie, not your typical horror film, but a good story indeed. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/16/23 Full Review Hristiyana K So so. Ending sucks. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Emily K This movie left you on the absolute worst cliffhanger. I felt like I wasted an hour and a half of my life on this movie. I've never been more angry at a ending in a movie, every mystery about the plot was never answered all the clues were for absolutely nothing, except wondering what the plot was even for, my friend and I watched it together and both said that was horrible and what was the point in this whole movie. I've never written a review in my life till now don't watch it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/16/22 Full Review Audience Member This is not a shit your pants type of horror film. It's more of a "I forgot to wipe, because I am anxious to get back to the movie" type of film. It is engaging and creepy. The acting is excellent, and score is haunting. The story is unique but not preposterous. I invite everyone over to my house to watch it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Intriguing , atmospheric and suspenseful despite the slow pace. , Very well directed with great photography. Sometimes less is more ! Surety justifies a "Rotten tomatoes is wrong " segment. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Steven Warner In Review Online Robinette is by no means a terrible filmmaker, but there is nothing of interest visually here, no moments of tension or dread, simply repetitive shots Mar 24, 2022 Full Review Josh Goller Spectrum Culture A good idea for a short film, stretched threadbare in order to reach feature length. Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 22, 2022 Full Review Nadir Samara Screen Rant Tethered has a well-conceived premise and the film achieves what it sets out to accomplish, but ultimately falls short of greatness. Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 21, 2022 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Not much happens that is appealing. Rated: C+ Mar 18, 2022 Full Review Mark Dujsik Mark Reviews Movies The underlying mood here is far more engaging than the story itself ... but eventually, the latter takes over this small, low-and-minor-key horror tale. Rated: 2/4 Mar 18, 2022 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation Minimalist... a movie sorely lacking in surprises, action or suspense. Rated: 1.5/4 Mar 16, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
