In the remote woods of North Carolina, a blind teenager named Solomon lives by himself in total isolation. Despite his impairment, Solomon is able to navigate his surroundings by tying a long rope around his waist that stays tethered to the cabin where he lives. Armed with only his tether, Solomon survives by fishing, foraging, and trapping small animals for food. His only other stimulation is a tape recorded message containing three mysterious rules: The First Rule: When you hunt or scavenge, do it for two--one for the forest and one for you. The Second Rule: When your will is almost gone and you feel like giving up, find comfort in singing our song. The Third Rule: You must never, ever let go of the rope.

Juro que tentei me abstrair das diversas perguntas que surgiam enquanto via o filme e tentava me concentrar na história, mas era difícil não pensar em quem lavava as roupas dele, costurava? Conforme ele foi crescendo, como conseguiu roupas maiores, sapatos? A comida enlatada durou todos esses anos? Como as pilhas do toca fitas duraram tanto tempo?

Raised and then abandoned by his protective mother, a blind boy lives alone in a secluded cabin in the woods. He unexpectedly befriends a hunter and together they will face a mysterious creature lurking in the dark. "Tethered" reminds us that sometimes our personal growth implies leaving behind what we were raised to believe. The creature is an extension of the boy's grief, inviting him to break the rules that no longer serve him. Except for its relevant message, the movie is forgettable in a blink of an eye!

Regardless of the bad reviews this movie seemed to garner, I thought it was a decent movie, not your typical horror film, but a good story indeed.

This is not a shit your pants type of horror film. It's more of a "I forgot to wipe, because I am anxious to get back to the movie" type of film. It is engaging and creepy. The acting is excellent, and score is haunting. The story is unique but not preposterous. I invite everyone over to my house to watch it.

Intriguing , atmospheric and suspenseful despite the slow pace. , Very well directed with great photography. Sometimes less is more ! Surety justifies a "Rotten tomatoes is wrong " segment.

WTF!!!! Why does People making movies today think it is OK to end movies without an ending. It is just getting ridiculous any more. This movie didn't disappoint. No ending and no explanation of what the hell the movie even meant. Did they run out of money? Did they just give up? What the hell did this movie even mean. It was an ok movie till the stupid ending.
