Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times The movie, in fact, isn't as much fun as a night at a disco, because the editing is so nervous that we never get one sustained musical number that's allowed to build to a satisfying climax. Rated: 1.5/4 Jun 16, 2018 Full Review Eric Henderson Slant Magazine There is a transvestite who takes about eight hours in the men's bathroom to electric shave his bust, making him the only gay in this disco (aside from Debra Winger's AC/DC dance partner). Rated: 1/4 Apr 11, 2006 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …something of a blast from the past, a light-weight, high energy slice of disco promotion that was dated by 1979 and now feels like a time capsule… Rated: 3/5 Sep 10, 2023 Full Review Steve Crum Video-Reviewmaster.com Forgettable '70s musical fluff, over produced, not that listenable. Rated: 2/5 Mar 6, 2008 Full Review Bullz-Eye.com Rated: 3/5 May 12, 2006 Full Review Christopher Null Filmcritic.com tiresome before its first half hour is up Rated: 2/5 Feb 20, 2006 Full Review Read all reviews

Pablo D. M This is a movie that's unfortunately of it's time and place in pop culture and it doesn't work in certain areas in 2023. The proformances from The Commadores and the late Donna Summer in what was to be her one and only film role as a singer trying to impress the DJ. Some of the characters are great but of the time this film was placed in. As a 51 year old, this movie should have stayed back where it belongs. My two cents spent. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Just a movie to spend the time, but good to remember music in the 70s. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member It's hilarious! Meanwhile people on this site give Thank God It's Friday one or two stars but will brazenly give a horrible movie in the 2000's era five stars. What the hell do you know about comedy? Obviously nothing you stupid millennials! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Donna Summer, Andrea Howard, kittens all!! A fun trip back to the 70's, great music Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Disco cult classic. Soundtrack full of many hits, Motown Productions showcase their talent well in the film. This film is a nice break from the tense world we live in today! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member How can you hate this movie? It has Donna Summer in it. Not every movie needs to be Oscar-worthy.
