Russ G May 1 If you exhibit this film to today's younger audience, please gloss over the fact that Peter Lorre is portraying a Japanese character and just have them follow the story. The production values are good for a Thirties B-movie with an outstanding cast of studio contract players in supporting roles. Miss Jayne Regan is a treat as the eye candy. It's really too bad that this franchise didn't have as many episodes as the Charlie Chan or Sherlock Holmes series did. I'm giving this Four Stars on my usual sliding scale - it gets an extra one for a being an entertaining and fast-paced film on a B-movie budget. See more 03/31/2013 Second and best of the series. See more 11/19/2012 As Mr. Moto, Peter Lorre is ruthless and amusing...and don't get in a fight with him. Moto usually leaves his opponents dead--Outstanding!! See more 07/21/2012 great entry into the series See more 09/05/2010 "I find your confidence in the police both flattering and disturbing." A bit of a step down from the original Think Fast Mr. Moto, Peter Lorre is less sweet & viscous as he is just smug. The hunt for the Genghis Khan treasure map never quite worked for me; the villains not dastardly enough, nor the supporting cast quite interesting enough. Decent, but not as good as the original. VF. See more 09/10/2009 Leading contender for best in the series, not only is Lorre at the top of his game but he is backed up by a surprisingly well rounded production. It's atmospheric, emotional, has a rousing climax and a poignantly chosen title. Thank you, Mr. Moto, indeed! See more Read all reviews
