Audience Member It's 1961 In Long Island is the story of two people in love One of them has a younger neighbor, Alice Alice looks to Sheryl as her role model aspiring to be grown up like her Sheryl falls for a greaser named Rick It gets more tricky after her father dies and Sheryl becomes pregnant All the adults disapprove of Sheryl and her boyfriend Director Craig Bolton makes a good romantic drama featuring an outstanding performance by a young Eliza Dushku She and Juliette Lewis are amazing together trying to learn a few more things being a kid and a teenager It evokes joy and confusion of sexuality when it comes to young love It feels more like made for tv material but it's still watchable Lots of things about love and forgiveness also childhood that sets us apart from others Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Really enjoyed this movie. Would highly recommend this sweet coming of age film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Ok movie that is elevated by the era and Juliet Lewis Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/31/18 Full Review Audience Member A wonderfully sweet coming of age story set in 1960 Long Island, NY. Eliza Dushku was a revelation and Juliette Lewis and C. Thomas Howell's chemistry was smoldering. Watch for small role by Katherine Heigl Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Juliette Lewis and Eliza Dushku deliver stellar performances in this coming of age tale. For all of those under dogs who are just trying to find themselves this tale is uplifting and romantic. If you are a fan of romance with a hint of drama this is for you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Juliette Lewis can carry a film all by herself. See her before she was really famous and you'll see why she became a star. Several other stars-to-be also in this with her. Makes for a nice evening that'll leave you feeling nostalgic. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Entertainment Weekly Rated: B- Nov 6, 2009 Full Review Brian D. Johnson Maclean's Magazine The movie starts out as half-baked comedy and congeals into hard-baked melodrama, with Aice delivering narration through it all like an insufferable tour guide.
