Colin S Although this movie does not feature any famous Hollywood actors, it stars two legends of British comedy - Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise. There is a regular roll-out of hilarious moments including Eric accidentally issuing a parking ticket to the queen's car, Eric winning a fortune on the roulette wheel and Eric's failed attempts at playing beach volleyball in order to impress the beautiful Claudette. The scenery, the mystery of the stolen jewels and the disappearance of bodies through a secret trapdoor take second stage to the situational comedy and romantic scenes. A 1966 comedy classic! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/25 Full Review JAVED A Great comedians there were Ernie and morcom this. Film.is without of their.depth Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/28/23 Full Review Audience Member With Eric and Ernie's charm and likeability coupled with Suzanne Lloyd's sex appeal and chemistry with the boys, it's a pity that this isn't a better movie. As it is, it's passable and reasonably entertaining but another draught of the script and a little more actual location filming in France wouldn't have gone amiss. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Classic comedy from a classic duo. Total Winner! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Eric & Ernie, Return In Thier Second Film, That Riviera Touch. This Time The Duo Star As 2 Traffic Wardens, Who Get In A Mix-Up With A Member Of The Royal Family, So They Decide To Go On Holiday To The South Of France. Once Thier They Are Caught Up In An International Jewel Thief's Scheme To Steal A Precious Diamond Necklace. The Two Are Fighting For The Affections Of Claudette, Who Starts To Use Them At First But Eventually Falls In Love With The Two. Not A Perfect Film But Filled With Plenty Of Retro Slapstick. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A gentle, gentlemanly humour; not too challenging for the brain, relaxing, entertaining.
