What to Know

Critics Consensus

While it does represent a new foray into raunch for the normally PG-13 Sandler, That's My Boy finds him repeating himself to diminishing effect - and dragging Andy Samberg down with him.

Yet again Adam Sandler has taken a fairly clever concept for a broad comedy and just detonated it with some of the stupidest, most repetitive gags imaginable. Go to Full Review

Warning: this film contains scenes of incest, masturbation, gerontophilia, statutory rape and Adam Sandler. Go to Full Review

Not nearly as terrible as burped-out Sandler disasters of recent years, there's enough funny stuff here to remind us of his talent. Go to Full Review

Sandler continues to play the same idiot character he has done since "Billy Madison" and "Happy Gilmore," but the difference is this guy lacks any of the innocent charm that helped make those movies work. Go to Full Review

Richard W @rickywx 3d Blech. Adam Sandler & Andy Samberg together? So much potential there. Completely wasted. Half a star is too generous. See more Oscar W @Roscoe5000 4d This movie is hilarious do not listen to the critics reviews they're all stuck up assholes who cant enjoy comedy See more Aye E 6d Considering we know what to expect from Sandler's comedies it still can't prepare for how off this humor is. He can make even low brow stuff funny and sweet, but he didn't find that balance here. It was more gross than anything. BUT I can't deny the charm of Andy Samberg and his being perfectly cast as his son. There were also great additions to the Sandler pool of actors, like Will Forte, who was a perfect fit, James Caan, Vanilla Ice, Todd Bridges, and Tony Orlando! And Ciara was an all too brief breath of fresh air in the middle of the raunch. For something light and ridiculous, if you let go of any hope or expectations and just go along for the ride it's actually kind of fun. See more Bob P Jan 9 Complete garbage! I want the time that I spent watching it back. I wouldn't even watch it again if someone paid me to. I would rather watch paint dry. See more Dude A. M @Dudamundo Dec 27 Unreal that a movie this bad actually got funded by Columbia Pictures! Wow!
