Variety Staff Variety Yhe mix of earthy symbolism, offbeat eroticism, the picaresque and the rough-and-tumble social, rather unpolitical satire now seems poured from a bottle that has been left uncapped overnight. Nov 7, 2007 Full Review Time Out A plot that goes AWOL in the interests of true love, and Roberts, as the kid from Coke, who is well on his way to becoming the world's worst actor. Jun 24, 2006 Full Review Janet Maslin New York Times The film's cutting edge is never very keen. Rated: 2.5/5 May 20, 2003 Full Review Peter Canavese Celluloid Dreams An unusual, audacious and fitfully witty satire with a bit of a literary texture to it. Thanks to Fun City Editions for its world-wide blu-ray premiere and this comprehensive special edition. Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 30, 2022 Full Review Fernando F. Larry H An endearing comedy that still holds up. The time period is well preserved in Australia mid 80s. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/28/23 Full Review bill t A bit of a cultish-wanna-be movie, too in love at how smart it is. A coca cola rep decides to fight for the last Australian Territory that doesn't have the wonder drink. From there, it really just goes everywhere. A mess. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty funny, Eric Roberts somewhat out of his element but just makes the delivery. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent movie. Greta Scacchi is charming and wonderful. Eric Roberts is great. This is a funny and excellent movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Was an okay flick, about a cocky American trying to get more sales from Coke in Australia. Roberts kind of grows on you after awhile and Scacchi is just flat out adorable, and the girl playing her little daughter steals every scene she is in by being even more adorable. It was interesting to see how Coke tries to go in and push it's product to every single place, but the movie didn't offer up much more in plot and was kind of a slow film to watch. And usually I wouldn't complain about seeing the Lovely Greta Scacchi naked a ton, but her two scenes are really all that made this film R rated. And they didn't move the story on, so just from a rantings stand point, they could have cut that stuff and got a lesser rating. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Why make a movie that jerks off a product that doesn't even SPONSOR said movie?
