Johan P I was surprised to stumble across this movie, as it brings out things which are truly valuable in life. It was good to see how one stubborn, young woman for God can bring needed change against opposition and tradition. Beautiful! 10 out of 10. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/18/25 Full Review Madelyn V I was really hoping to love this movie, but it was all over the place. The acting was horrible. Too many storylines that went nowhere. I'm grateful it was less than a 2 hour watch. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/05/25 Full Review Sai M I truly enjoyed this story that gives insight into an area of New Orleans history that is been riddled in mystery and obscurity and I feel that Vanessa Williams did an excellent job with her portrayal of Henriette. Lovers of historical romance and New Orleans will especially enjoy this moving tale. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/09/24 Full Review Audience Member As far as made-for-TV dramas go this one was pretty good. The story was laid out in a sad and heartbreaking way and even the happy ending was bittersweet. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member The story of one brave woman who dared to sacrifice everything for what she believed in. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Pre abolistion of Slavery period film about creoles and the courage of one woman to stand up to the system. A moral tale of love, of serving God and ones fellow man. A sad, moving story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
