Serge L Tolerable film about the creation of one worldwide day of peace. I can't get rid of the feeling that it allows war on the other days. Well, if it get one guaranteed day of peace in war-torn countries, okay. Otherwise, it's very feeble. But, it is very english after all. Big kudos to Angelina and Jude for going along with it so nicely. Let me propose a worldwide no war from englishes. Any in? I thought so... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member For a little documentary (until the corporate sponsorship of coca cola kicked in), it is pretty impressive the actual name checks they got involved to bring attention to this particular forgotten day of observance especially in contempoary global politics. Slightly dated as it was seemingly complete 4 years ago but the course of the project seemed to be a continual work in process, it might be cool to actual revisit the day 4-5 years from said date which would be later this year to see if the movement is still receiving recognition, or whether it was a one time event. A tad idealistic and given how long it took to gain traction despite the attention it received finally by 2007(8), one wonders how much impact the doc will have. Gives one a chance to ponder through rose colored glasses to a point.. The interaction with Jude Law is quite interesting in terms of how talent gets involved in these causes and also goes around the world to fight the good fight as it were. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one one of my favorite documentaries...wait...it's one of the only documentaries I actually enjoyed. This movie isn't trying to shove someone else's point of view down your throat (unless you are against the idea of peace). The film never makes accusations against religion, countries, wars being fought, or anything. It follows former english actor Jeremy Gilley and his quest to make people believe that the day of peace he created to become a reality to all those who say it isn't possible. What he achieves is nothing short of amazing. This is what a documentary should be. See this movie...you won't regret it! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member a very well told documentary about one man's crusade to create a global cease fire day. it was really interesting to see the ups and downs of him trying to get off the ground, for instance the original first official day was supposed to be september 11, 2001. i think this was a great film and an inspiration to philanthropists everywhere. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member A very relaxed docunmentary with a great ending Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
