Virgo V The First Teacher is a 1965 drama film directed by Andrei Konchalovsky. It is his first full-length work, based on the book by Chinghiz Aitmatov. Andrei Sergeyevich Konchalovsky is a Russian filmmaker. Earlier in his career, he was a collaborator of Andrei Tarkovsky. His films have won numerous accolades, including the Cannes Grand Prix Spécial du Jury, a FIPRESCI Award, two Silver Lions, three Golden Eagle Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award. Natalya Utevlevna Arinbasarova is a Russian actress who appeared in more than thirty films since 1965. This was her debut film. Bolot Beishenaliev was a Soviet cinematographer, film and theater actor. He was the People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan. This was his second film.
