Audience Member It was OK but I was hoping for a little more depth. And the I'm-lonely-so-I'll-have-alienating-sex scene just played over and over. Still, the lead actor was good and although the ending was more predictable than the sun coming up the next day, it was watchable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member "The Houseboy" needs a real job, which is the problem, he's just a "boy toy" for a couple who's been together for 10 years. They leave NY to visit family in LA and we're meant to feel sympathy for the Houseboy who's alone during Xmas. It's "Home Alone" for the 21-year-old. He doesn't try to call up old friends, in fact, who are his friends? Instead, he calls up a distant sister, peruses the internet for tricks, and picks up drug addicts on the street. Nick May plays the Houseboy and he's good at posing and looking depressed but not a good actor who can draw you into his character. Also, it would be more credible if he looked like he took care of his appearance and physique. The tricks are more interesting as characters, including Michael Hill and Damien Fuentes. It's infuriating to hear May talk about suicide when people have much bigger problems. Depending on your perspective, the sex scenes are either a welcome distraction to the depressing drama or gratuitous. The movie is saved by a charming performance by Blake Young-Fountain and it shows what could have been a better movie. A young romance between 20-something-year olds: one, hardened by an aimless life while the other is secure by a life filled with hope. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Nick May does a good job in this movie that doesn't seem to go anywhere. The events don't seem to affect the characters and the plot is oddly repetitive... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Not the cheeriest of films. The acting is pretty good, the story however is a bit bleak. I did stay interested in the film throughout. Well meaning. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie, poor Ricky just wants to be loved - but ends up being used by everyone. He gives everyone a chance to love him but all they see is a cute young guy for a quick one night stand, most don't even stay the night. With no love in sight he decides to kill himself on Xmas eve, but not everything goes to plan.. Is this rated R?? should be, a few heavy sex scenes :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Me gustó. Película de corte depresivo e independiente.
