Isolated Dutch farmer Henk Woldring (Jaap Spijkers) receives an unexpected guest one day when a frantic Polish girl named Anna Krzyzanowska (Monique Hendrickx) arrives at his house. She is hurt and obviously hiding from someone, so Henk decides to take care of her. Slowly, they fall for one another, but Henk soon discovers what the new woman in his life is running from when two rough pimps (Rudi Falkenhagen, Roef Ragas) show up looking for Anna.

Audience Member i want to see this movie again...where can i find it. it is outstanding!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member As a previous resident of the Netherlands I am biased because this movie brings back memories of my time there. That said, the themes are both ageless and current. A wonderful film that deals with the sex trade, economic hardship of the small farmer, and romance in the most measured and respectful way.
