Jordan W If, for some reason, you like Van Damned movies, I'm sure you'll like this. If, however, you aren't a fan of mindless action films where the protagonist can't act his way out of a wet paper bag, and is just as incapable of losing a single hand to hand fight...well, you'll have a tough time sitting through this. The rabbit, however, is adorable. Oh, hell. It appears that a Van Damned marathon is going. Need to change the channel before my brain dissolves. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/20/23 Full Review r 9 Just about enjoyable. 'The Shepherd: Border Patrol' is a solid enough, mindless action film. Jean-Claude Van Damme (Jack) certainly carries things, but Natalie J. Robb (Capt. García) is fairly good in her role. All the antagonists are very much cliché and predictable, though. The film attempts a load of heartfelt and profound storylines which don't really connect at all, with any twists it produces hardly surprising one bit. However, if you take this for want it is - a 95 minute brawl - then you can find ways to get entertainment from it. If you like this genre, you'll probably rate this 2008 production from Isaac Florentine. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review steve d Strong Jean-Claude Van Damm action flick with an appropriate villain and cool action scenes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A Decent action flick with a brief cameo by van dammes daughter Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Poorly written, badly paced, clunky action fiasco. The one thing this movie has going for it is the Van Damme vs Adkins fight, which is quite awesome while it lasts, but even that's bastardized by overused slo-mo and choppy editing. The villain is lame, the story is stupid; this one is for hardcore Van Damme fans only. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Another of Van Damme's straight to DVD clunkers, notable for... some not terrible action sequences or most likely a pub quiz question revolving around which cast member went on the star in Emmerdale (Natalie Robb, by the way). Otherwise avoid. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
