Audience Member Odd indepenently made Zombie movie set in a zombie infested New Mexico where a quirky group of survivors endure their bleak existance among the living dead. It's all low-budget stuff but it delivers adequate amounts of blood and gore, sex and nudity and action. The attempts at humour are hit and miss, mostly the later, and some of the characters and their behaviour are just too weird. It's got too many flaws for an out right recommendation, but there's never a dull moment so some may find it entertaining. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Nothing cripples a movie faster than a forced attempt at making something "so bad, it's good," and that's the feeling I got from this film in spades. While it's not the director's fault if he was working with a low budget, it IS his fault if his actors are chewing the scenery like termites, and the script reads like something a 15 year old boy would scribble in his notebook during a particularly boring history class. I didn't go into "The Stink of Flesh" expecting much, but dammit, if I'd set the bar any lower I'd have tripped over it. And yet somehow, this still manages to NOT be the worst zombie movie I've ever seen. At least the director tried to do something different with the genre. True, he ended up failing, producing little more than an 82 minute long sleep aid, but he at least attempted to execute his vision...tedious and sophomoric though it might have been. There are plenty of better zombie flicks out there, so don't waste your time on this one. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member A really great horror/comedy zombie apocalypse style movie. We follow the adventures of Matool in his journey of survival. He comes across a family that have an 'alternative' lifestyle when it comes to sex. The zombies are outside...everyone is shagging the wife, the sister has a 'face' on her side, and oh yeah, the husband is raping a zombie woman he keeps locked up. This movie is sick and twisted, but has lots of funny moments too. The characters are all interesting and I like how it shows how people break down when faced against inevitable doom...resorting to base emotions and urges. Oh yeah and if you don't know the meaning of the name Matool, don't ever watch zombie movies again, you don't deserve to. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member zombie porn...end of story Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member That's not flesh you smell. It's this movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Really awful acting from the living and the dead were just as bad, just because you stagger a bit and are painted blue - that just doesnt make a convincing zombie. I was suprised to see one zombie wearing completely clean clothes. Other than the zombies, there was a creepy kid and a bunch of losers shagging this big bird in a black night dress. and boy was she attractive, but neither were any of the guys. It was a zombie porno. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
