Documentary filmmakers Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini focus their lens on Tyler Cassidy, an enterprising young man from St. Louis who in 1998 purchased the iconic Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery for $375,000. Tying in disparate narrative threads about the cemetery's famous residents -- including posthumously interred African-American actress Hattie McDaniel -- Berman and Pulcini detail the park's phoenix-like reinvention under Cassidy's guidance.

DeMille and did not learn a thing along those lines. but I did learn how the Hollywood Forever Cemetery was saved from ruin and also about the historic "woman in black" who comes to visit Rudolph Valentino's crypt every year since his death.
