David Hinckley New York Daily News Some bad movies just bore you, while others create a perverse fascination, an aura that keeps you watching in the hope they will never get better. "The Twelve Disasters of Christmas" does not. Rated: 1/5 Aug 14, 2013 Full Review Phil Dyess-Nugent AV Club 12 Disasters Of Christmas, SyFy's contribution to the holiday season, lands on the programming calendar like a foul-smelling, coal-like substance left on the carpet by a drunken Santa who needs a swat on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper. Rated: D Aug 14, 2013 Full Review Mark A. Perigard Boston Herald It's the TV equivalent of finding socks under your tree. Rated: D Aug 14, 2013 Full Review Ed Bark Uncle Barky Viewers who have had their fills of prototypical Christmas movie cheer might want to get into the proper Syfy spirit by priming themselves with their favorite spirits. Audience Member Lots of action. Tons of mother nature fury. Great acting. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member My initial feeling of, "not bad" faded quickly as a fair premise was destroyed by an increasingly silly plot with dialog and direction so bad any actor with options would refuse. The no-budget CGI is filled with objects and people that shatter in a way that evokes bad cubistic art. The best thing I can say is compared to other Syfy originals I've watched (or at least attempted to watch) it was above-average and kept my attention for at least a half hour. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/28/23 Full Review Audience Member We enjoyed this movie. Predictable in places but well worth watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review mauro l An excellent example of "next age" syncretism. (Mauro Lanari) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a movie that you catch on TV one afternoon, quickly realize is bad, but keep watching because it looks like it's gonna end up being a "so bad it's good" kind of bad. Nope. You'll get to the end and realize it was just so bad it's bad the whole time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I rented this from a near video store, it was one of those 'so bad its funny' ones. I laughed throughout it. Still a shit movie tho Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
