Audience Member Fascinatingly slow film, almost with no dialogue - subtitles are not needed. Few words, and rearly more than one person at the time on screen. The plot is slim and the film never really focus on it anyhow. If I should describe the plot it's like a less open, less deep "Leviathan" from Andrey Zvyagintsev. The pans are often long and utterly slow. It's visuals are completely stunning and the natural sounds is very intense at times. This film is boring, but I still found it very delicate. Since the plot is so open and the entertainment factor are so low I need other positive aspects. The mentioned looks of it make sure that piece is on board. This way of film making is not something new - slow films, driven by imagery is a pretty typical thing when it comes to experimental world films. This is very unknown, but bigger "small" films are similiar. Take Carlos Reygadas' films for instance. Artistic and monotone, repitative and beautiful. Empty, pretentious and quite clicheful for this genre. Not something for entertainment, not something to applaude, but still a short and pretty flick. 5 out of 10 mezcals. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
