It’s got an interesting premise, a great cast, and outstanding special effects. However, the plot is predictable, and whatever spark it had in the beginning turns into a snooze fest of a final act.

Unlikeable and self centered characters fail to help others in a scramble to look out for themselves. Horrible teens can't do a single thing they are told, while being unpleasant. Probably influenced by similar horrible children in American films, now they all think that's how to write this age group. I believed the NPC girl. Some of the most unlikeable ones live. I liked the holes in the ground, they looked real

Special effects are very good. The characters are pretty engaging and the story is ok. The stakes are high for the town but the story focuses only on the family in question. It loses the viewer in this way as It slows the film down in the third act when it should be reaching a fever pitch. Worth a watch.
