nick s Starts off threatening to be another ghost story, but then takes an interesting turn. Well paced and acted, with nice cinematography. A few plot points that could have been better, but overall an entertaining film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/19/23 Full Review Martin B Not good. It had a good premise but ham handed and crude in the execution. The older sister starts out as the focus replaced by the younger sister toward the end. A lot of loose ends unresolved and the crow flying out to sea made no sense. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/14/23 Full Review william k OK little drama has a simple tale, but it's nice that it quickly turns its ghost story premise into a crime drama; effective for what it is. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member THE AMAZING MR. X is a consistent, suspenseful, and visually stunning piece of lost cinema. This was a very pleasant surprise. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A rich widow hears the voice of her dead husband calling, then meets a charming psychic walking on the beach. Coincidence? This quiet, atmospheric movie plays like a film noir commissioned by Val Lewton; slow to get started but it has a reasonably satisfying third act. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Terribly dull and uninteresting with little pace, but I did watch a terrible copy in terms of film quality.
