Audience Member Horrifying documentary shows how brainwashing can affect normal people. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member As an evangelical/post evangelical, this documentary gives me hope. Hope for a world where Christians do not put guns before Jesus' purpose here on earth. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Frances H Something I have wanted to see happen. someone finally realizing that tthe gun lobby of the NRA and the evangelical movement should be diametrically opposed!. What did Christ say about someone assaulting you? "Turn the other cheek" I believe it was. Christ never said for Christians to use force against anyone who attacked them. The early Christians believed in martyrdom--martyrs become saints, not warriors. Using a gun against one's fellow man is just the opposite of what Christ said and preached. And them there is "Vengeance is MINE SAYTH THE LORD--not imperfect people here on earth. I loved this I loved the statement Reverend Schenck made that when he asked pastor where they got information on gun issues, the answered, "Fox News and the NRA." Then he answered, "Brothers, Fox News and the NRA are not spiritual authorities." I also liked his statement, "I'm concerned about the NRA promoting the idea that the best way to solve the most vexing problems in our society is to be prepared to shoot people dead. That doesn't sit well with me as a Christian moral vision. And when we champoin the Second Amendment over and above the word of God, then we must be very careful that in respecting the Second Amendment, we don't violate the Second Commandment." Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/15/17 Full Review Audience Member PBS 5/10/16 An interesting doc with an interesting story line. Gun control, right to life, 2nd Amendment and Conservative Christian values. Some thought provoking themes and conversations. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing to witness the gun debates happening inside evangelical circles inspired by the 10 Commandments rather than the 2nd Amendment. A real conversion of conscious happens before your eyes. The most moving movie I have ever seen! Perhaps it will affect you too.
