Cary Darling Fort Worth Star-Telegram/DFW.com By the time the intricate plot and not particularly satisfying payoff are revealed at the film's end, many viewers will feel like they were the ones left holding the bag. Gezza Sit back, relax and enjoy John Cusack's laconic, understated acting style. It's an all star cast playing off-beat characters which makes it fun and intriguing. Unlike what most reviewers say, it's not really about the bag or what's in the bag - it's the journey to survive 1 night in a Motel room where no-one can be trusted. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/03/23 Full Review bob c Junk. John Cusack finished a while back. But de Niro should still apologise. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Feels very much like a stage play, but a few central performances keep the interest going, especially Cusack. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent thriller, watched it at least 3 times. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review renaldo d very poorly made film Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Neal T It was like 8 heads in a duffle bag... but really Bad Times at the El Royals basically stole the whole idea from this movie so give credit where credit is due. The hotel clerk played by Crispin Glover makes you think you’re in Louisiana or something. All in all a straight to video hit in my opinion. How did they get this cast for this? It’s all favors owed or studio contracts owed to who knows who wrote and directed it that knew someone. Reminded me of identity in some ways too... the little person was playing a Pimp and with an accent... I mean the movie is full of random stuff I couldn’t have made up. Robert De Niro plays it very weird... it’s like he’s phoning it in or maybe he’s just not a great actor unless he’s playing himself? Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/04/19 Full Review Read all reviews
