A S Andy ( AK-47) is hilarious. He is creating comedy in this story in which he steals an original Banksy street sculpture. it is his work as a comedian that should be considered a form of art. As you can see in the film (no spoilers), his own attempts at creating actual physical pieces of art are below average and slightly cringey. Nevertheless, it is the comedy and entertainment aspect that shines through in this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Utter drivel. Clearly an expensive vanity project designed to inflate the fragile ego of it's "star". The guy, AK47, is clearly trying to profit from someone who actually possesses the talent and wit he clearly doesn't posses. A thoroughly reppellent character. The film itself had all the production value of a channel 5 mockumentary. All talking heads and self aggrandising with the most insipid ending masquerading as a moment of triumph. Going from "The Thinker" (Rodin) to "The Drinker" (Banksy) all the way down to "The Stinker" (AK47) gives you all the indication you need to ascertain where in the pantheon of great contributions to British art this sits. In the gutter... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Alex Needham Guardian It never convinces us that this story was worth telling - especially with such a repellent character at its centre. Rated: 2/5 Apr 20, 2016 Full Review Alina Cohen Hyperallergic Regardless of its veracity, The Banksy Job provides some great British humor, a compelling main character, and some well-deserved cultural mockery.
