Cody Corrall Chicago Reader Jeffrey A. Brown's The Beach House is a daring debut that proves you don't need a big budget to make a captivating cosmic horror film. Jul 14, 2020 Full Review Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle Jeffrey A. Brown truly grasps that what makes this kind of horror work is the sense of corruption - of the surface hiding the menace, whether it be the calm waves above a roiling, toxic ocean, or the skin that is being consumed and degraded from within. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 11, 2020 Full Review Barry Hertz Globe and Mail While its parasitic-invasion storyline and end-of-the-world vibes might not soothe any contemporary nerves, that doesn't make the film any less effective. Jul 10, 2020 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a compelling premise that’s employed to initially compelling yet ultimately disappointing effect... Rated: 1.5/4 Oct 12, 2024 Full Review Brandon Stanwyck InSession Film Liberato is a performer who I can see becoming a perennial casting choice among genre auteurs. Rated: B Jul 17, 2024 Full Review Joonatan Itkonen Toisto.net The Beach House feels more than timely... The pandemic years made time lose much of its meaning. And now the planet itself recoils from our very existence. The Beach House taps into that anxiety and knows precisely which strings to pull. Rated: 4/5 Jul 3, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Peter G For fans on lovecraftian horror this is AMAZING! The lead actress is engaging from start to finish Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/26/24 Full Review Logan D Two college kids head to a beach house for sex and drugs but find it occupied by two old fogies who, thankfully, are up for the latter. What's that on the beach? I enjoyed the idea of this film more than the execution. Liberato plays a character that is studying astrobiology but is unable to deliver her lines as convincingly knowledgeable of the subject. I loved that the characters have somewhat of an excuse for making mistakes as they are on drugs. Some nice set pieces but jump scare fans will be disappointed until the end. It has an ethereal vibe once the drugs hit. One of those films I enjoyed but wished I could've enjoyed more. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review _Official W This movie is boring with an even more boring ending! The continuity, the scenes, camera angles, and soundtrack and more for this movie truly is disappointing. This movie had the possibility to be great, and did not live up the the rotten tomatoes score from the critics! The "apocalyptic" event that this movie tried to show was not well thought of and completely embarrassing. Please don't waste your time!!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/19/23 Full Review Ashley L This movie was one of the worst movies I have ever seen! Not worth the watch skip and pass Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/17/23 Full Review Vekine B This movie is a instant classic.. it adds something very terrifying and extreme well acted... the 2 Fog movies and this one become 3 incredible classics... It belongs with the Fog franchise ... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/30/23 Full Review Krystal I Anticipation for the end to answer all of your questions just to be more confused and unfulfilled.
