The highlights of the entire movie are the imaginative pop-video-style sequences, which make clever use of stop-frame animation to bring the duo's songs to life. If only there was the same vim and vigour elsewhere in this otherwise plodding tale.

This being one of the first movies Nicholas Galitzine has ever done, is really amazing. He can sing, play the guitar and act! The fact that they made every song scene look like a music video was very pretty.

It's a great movie mixed with both comedy and angst, Tom is such a complex character and I can't help to see myself in him (that's both good and bad) it has a mix of romance in there but it still feels like she's her own character and don't even get me started on the singing.

This is quite a fun, escapist watch. It's cheesy but it's fun - I enjoyed the various pieces of guitar based music played throughout and the central idea of a teenage kid finding out they live near a famous rock and roll star (never mind his backstory of being supposedly dead) is a fun and exciting one. It's not entirely original I suppose but its fun and I enjoyed watching it, hence my rating. Yes, I'd recommend this, if it sounds of interest.
