Vicky G Woeful. Absolutely woeful. The 1.5 stars is purely because the cinematography and colour casting is quite good. Everything else is dire. The script is appalling. The plot is pointless. The acting is just awful, particularly from the child who seems to be the main character, so bad it's like she's in a different more child-friendly film to the rest of the equally bad actors. I feel bad picking on a kid's acting, but every 'dyadddeeee??!!!!' is like being stabbed in the ears. The kid's character also appears to need a strong conversation about consent and privacy because she films everything, including obviously private conversations, and seems to suffer no consequences for other obnoxious behaviour like tipping a bowl of cereal and milk over her sleeping brother's head. The plot doesn't actually get going until about an hour in to the 87min run when some manner of actual alien activity finally shows up. The building of a chicken-wire fence about halfway through made more progression than the plot. Hate watch it if you want to. But don't be fooled by the stylish looking poster, you'll find yourself rooting for the mainly off-screen aliens over the humans within the first 5 minutes. And when the alien does show up, try not to laugh. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/23/25 Full Review Andrew Joe D This movie had me rolling my eyes way too much. Acting sucks. It reminded me of a cheap lifetime movie. Nothing really happens. There is no conflict at all. Cliché bereft family with an effervescent annoying little girl running around with a camcorder and an angst ridden teen doing too much underage drinking. If that's not enough, they have a widower dad trying to shoo city subcontractors from cutting down trees on his property as he tries to hold his family together. Comets from space and aliens! This film was sooo stupid and cheap! Waste of time watching it. Cringe city! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/14/25 Full Review Read all reviews
