      Critics Consensus

The Big Wedding's all-star cast is stranded in a contrived, strained plot that features broad stabs at humor but few laughs.

Jeff M I experienced 90 minutes of "flabbergastation" watching this movie trying to comprehend how this pedigree of cast became involved with this bad sitcom level project. Actually, make that 180 minutes because I immediately watched it a second time to see if I was missing something. No joke! I think the skill of the cast is both a blessing and a curse - they help the film earn its *1/2 stars on the sheer basis of their talent, but said talent also highlights how mediocre this film is in every other aspect. I've seen episodes of SHE'S THE SHERIFF with more depth and originality. It's nothing short of a cinematic tragedy to watch an icon like De Niro perform some of the scenes in this movie - a true heartbreaker. When Robin Williams is boring in a movie, you know something is greatly amiss! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Myllena C O roteiro é extremamente fraco. What's not to love? The actors and storyline are perfect Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/02/23 Full Review mary-ann l It is a sweet, funny movie, the type that can be rewatched when you just want to smile and relax. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Honestly not that bad 2.6 Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/03/22 Full Review Audience Member If you're looking for brilliant, mind blowing, innovative cinema, this is not your movie. If you want an amusing, fluffy, time waster, this is your movie. It's cute, formulaic, and filled with well known actors. I enjoyed it and it makes a good movie to have on in the background while you're doing other things. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Larushka Ivan-Zadeh metro.co.uk Peculiarly set on proving that puerile gags aren't just for youths, this gross-out comedy, presumably aimed at oldies, is just about watchable thanks to [its] cast...though why they signed up remains utterly mystifying.
