Raquel Stecher Out of the Past a brilliant Argentine film noir adaptation of Fritz Lang's M (1931). Oct 24, 2023 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy A fascinating remake of Fritz Lang's M, only with much of the focus placed elsewhere. Rated: 3.5/4 Nov 19, 2022 Full Review Michael J. Casey Boulder Weekly Much like Truman Capote’s seminal "In Cold Blood," 1953’s "El Vampiro Negro" from Argentinian filmmaker Román Viñoly Barreto is a masterwork that tests the limits of what you might consider “entertainment.” Rated: 4.5/5 Nov 17, 2022 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews This film differs from the original because it focuses on the mothers whose young girls are terrorized by the pedophile killer. Steve B A lost gem. A 1953 thriller that deals with the murder and abuse of children in the streets of Buenos Aires long before we could have dealt with it here. A perfect monster/villain who, as we all have grown to know, can be an unassuming, psychotic, contributing, upstanding member of society, played by Nathan Pinzon The Argentinian cast is perfect, particularly Olga Zubarry as the mother of the missing child, working in the seedy underbelly of the city. A must see for fans of noir. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Renardo Good evening! I found the movie the Black Vampire to be quite refreshing. I could not get away from the way the main character had a distinct resemblance to a certain extent resembling the actor in the archived classic original nostradomaas. Even the way he moved had a distinct resemblance to the original actors movements. He had to have studied his films. Thumbs up, to the beginning of a great evening for I and my Valentine's.
