A decade before the terror attack of October 7th, another deadly incident shocked the world. After a rabbi, his wife and three young children are stabbed to death, members of the isolated West Bank settlement of Itamar must ask themselves: "Is this land worth dying for”? It was an attack so barbaric that it became a dramatic turning point in the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Scott D Excellent film—an eye-opening experience. It was interesting to learn more about the settlers. While I still don't agree with everything, I can now see them as people rather than just words in print when reading about them. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/11/25 Full Review Kareem D The Blessing and the Curse really surprised me. It’s fascinating just to see the West Bank up close—the film gives you this incredibly vivid sense of place. The cinematography is beautiful, almost like flipping through a photo book that’s somehow alive. But as you settle into that beauty, the real weight of the story starts to come through. Beneath the surface are layers of tension—religion, politics, history, and violence—that never let you forget where you are. It’s not heavy-handed, just honest. And that makes it stay with you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/11/25 Full Review Howard B This is a must see film to get a better understanding of what is happening in Israel and the life that Settlers there are trying to live there. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/10/25 Full Review Jenn T The movie is riveting. I was so moved by the resemblance of Oct 7th just on a small scale, the words spoken were those of the people after Oct 7th, the movie did leave you with such hope and excitement, it did not leave you devastated. It is definitely a must see! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/09/25 Full Review Eric L This movie is absolutely awesome ne I think everybody should watch it!
