Dear lord After this movie received a recommendation on lads bible I eagerly watched it with my son for a 16th birthday treat. After this appalling drivel my son said that he doesn’t want me to do anything special for his next birthday. Absolute pants!

Worst movie I have ever watched with the most stupid plot. I found the plot annoying with a love story that randomly appeared at the end with the whole big reveal being about the strugle on mental illness and how we study it. (I dislike how at the end they just tell you what the whole movie was about and the fact that they tied this to an lovecraftian horror) The acting through out the whole movie was absolutely horrible with it making me laugh multiple times wich further undercut what the movie was trying to say one great example is the father I think saying Dog but it was more of a belch. Michaela ruining many sences such as one of the sences close to the end on the ship. This is my first review since I saw how bad this movie was. I am really disappointed on the take of an lovecraftian horror with the bad acting and plot really taking away from the fact that it was a lovecraftian horror.
