Nicole S Witty, creative and clever. I really liked it a lot. A creative way to make a point about power and greed. The moral of the story..... The grass isn't always greener.... All that glitters isn't always gold... Really really enjoyed it! I'm disappointed in the stars people gave it. I don't know what movie they were watching. It was humor meets deep truths and fantasy. I want to see more movies like this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/02/23 Full Review Audience Member I watched the entire movie just to see how awful it could get. None of the dialogue, motivations or decisions made since. Some of the worst acting I've ever seen in my life and the "couple" seem like more childhood buddies than a couple. It's almost as if children produced and directly this movie. Which brings me to the next point. Everyone including characters that are supposed to be much older is in their late teens or early twenties. Maybe that's the joke, but it's just not funny. And the girl is unusually sexualized the entire movie for some reason. Again, maybe that's another joke or statement or something, but falls flat and just seems really awkward and weird. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member i have no idea where all of these awful ratings are coming from. i took a chance despite them, and i loved it. i can't help but feel the critics are financially benefitting from saying it's bad, and none of them really have a relevant explanation for why they didn't like it. "they cant sell the idea that the couple would be so easily transformed by greed"... bruh there are like 5 firm LotR references in this film and the entire concept is clearly inspired by the ring. do any of these reviewers even know who tolkein is, or are they all chatbots? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Movie is 7/10 Juno Temple is a 9/10. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/14/22 Full Review Audience Member I know it’s silly but this was what I like to watch 3.4 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/01/21 Full Review Audience Member This was a fun what if? Nicolas Rapold New York Times A comic fable that squanders its twisted-fairy-tale concept. Nov 17, 2014 Full Review Sara Stewart New York Post Temple and Angarano, entertaining enough, never quite sell the idea that this goodhearted couple would be so easily transformed by greed. Rated: 2/4 Apr 5, 2013 Full Review Robert Abele Los Angeles Times Without a human dimension to ground its construct, "The Brass Teapot" ultimately feels like an interminably stretched-out skit rather than a storybook lesson stained with blood and hurt. Apr 5, 2013 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Every character in the film is painfully generic. Rated: 2/10 Dec 3, 2020 Full Review Frank Ochieng SF Crowsnest Given its magical mediocrity, The Brass Teapot could have brewed its lukewarm water of wit and whimsy much hotter than it was in surrealist execution. Rated: 2/4 Nov 17, 2018 Full Review Drew McWeeny HitFix ... it is apparent that Ramaa Mosley has a voice, and that The Brass Teapot is a focused, controlled piece of storytelling that displays real control.
