In 1969, the Norwegian government announces their discovery of one of the world's largest oil fields in the neighboring North Sea, launching a prosperous period of offshore drilling. 50 years later, the environmental consequences begin to manifest -- a crack has opened on the ocean floor, causing a rig to collapse. A team of researchers, including submarine operator Sofia, rushes in to search for the missing and assess the cause of the damage, but what they discover is that this is just the start of a possible apocalyptic catastrophe. As rigs are evacuated, Sofia's loving companion Stian becomes trapped in the depths of the sea, and Sofia must dive in to rescue him. Pretty good until the ending. Spoiler alert ....................................... a thick oil slick doesn't burn off in 10 minutes plus the wells would have kept spewing oil. I was hoping Hollywood wouldn't have infected this movie but, oh well.....

I really enjoyed this movie. It was very well acted and gripping to watch. Touching story. Subtitles a bonus for those of us with hearing impairments or in a hotel room where you want the sound down. I found myself googling it afterwards as I was curious to see if it was based on real events.

This disaster movie was pretty good. The entire cast and crew did a pretty good job on this movie. The plot of the movie was dramatic, intense, and thrilling. It's about rescuing the people you love and fighting to survive a major disaster. If you haven't seen this movie yet, you may enjoy it. It's worth it.
