Matthew Roe Film Threat The Burying Party is almost there - with some serious potential, some strong supporting performances, and an always-fascinating subject, but it ultimately is too underbaked. Rated: 6/10 Jun 4, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Keithy T Surprised at the rather childish jibes from the audience reviewers. Are these genuine? My own experience of the film was very positive and I see 6.5 stars on IMDb and 4.2 stars on Amazon. Those are a fairer reflection of a well formed narrative. I read somewhere that the budget for this movie was less than 50k and yet it stands up well with multi million pound contemporary projects such as 1917 and later Terence Davies's work on Sassoon, Benediction. It's all in the storytelling. Definitely worth seeing this worthy debut from director, Richard Weston. It is unlikely that a major will do a film on Owen, so we should treasure the efforts of this indy company focusing on such complex character as Wilfred Owen and the 1917 that he experienced. I for one, appreciate the work. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/01/24 Full Review Audience Member Music is far too loud, leaving you to choose between ear piercing headache or not hearing the words of one of the greatest poets. Don't know who started this trend in films but the quicker it ends the better. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Dire. The whole thing. Every element of it. A clueless, bumbling, awfully scored, badly edited, poorly conceived and directed, dire mess. With so much material to work with, this could have been something special... Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Boring. So very, very boring. Well made enough but painfully dull. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
