Ben (Charles Ray), a pitcher for a bush league baseball team, gets his chance to play in the big leagues when a group of major league players and their manager see him pitch. He leaves town and the girl (Colleen Moore) who loves him. But Ben becomes arrogant about his talent, and, when the locals come to watch him pitch, he has a horrible game and is fired. He goes back to work for his old boss, Deacon (Otto Hoffman), and after gaining some humility gets another chance at the big time.
