Fat L @Bonnie123 Dec 24 I am Sally Challen. I was beaten. Raped. Manipulated. The man I married was supposed to protect me, instead he slowly broke me down, cheating, making me feel unsure daily, insulting my meals, my ability to keep a house, my ability to do laundry. He refused to sleep in the same bed. He insulted me daily as a woman, a wife, a mother. I felt defeated. I sunk into a depression so deep, I saw no way out. I cried in the mirror every day. I worked a corporate job for 30 years and no one had a clue. I paid all the bills, managed the kids, planned the vacations, birthdays. I lived in a brain so exhausted, I could barely breath. It wasn't until I found CODA (codependence anonymous) that I started to understand my brain was addicted to "fixing" my marriage. At that time I was plotting to kill my ex husband, my children and my grandchild bc I feard they would be alone without me. CODA saved all of our lives. I left and divorced.
