Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Goes nowhere slowly. Feb 22, 2018 Full Review Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times A grim thriller that isn't as compelling as it might have been in stronger hands. Feb 22, 2018 Full Review Jack Godwin Little White Lies There's little commitment to any particular tone - it never leans too far into idle B-movie pleasures, nor is the material elevated with nuanced character work. Rated: 2/5 Mar 10, 2017 Full Review Matt Donato Flickering Myth Single location films like The Chamber are faithfully reliant on character structures and evolutions, which is where Ben Parker's execution falters most. Rated: 1/5 Nov 6, 2019 Full Review Bradley Gibson Film Threat Another flaw is that the script borrows heavily... ok, let's be honest, practically cribs it's entire plot from James Cameron's 1989 film The Abyss...Overall, despite some good moments, The Chamber is a near miss. Rated: 5/10 Feb 23, 2018 Full Review Mark Dujsik Mark Reviews Movies [I]t becomes clear that Parker has become stymied by his self-imposed, if admirable, restrictions. Logan R Mediocre writing and an extremely unlikable female lead dead set on getting all of her friends killed. They should have all voted to leave her at the bottom of the ocean. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Good soundtrack by JDB. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Kevin C Totally incompetent, SJW message driven drivel. Story could have been ok. Acting was D+. Men stupid, woman leader awesome tough. Not worth any moments spent on it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/29/19 Full Review Audience Member Though this survival thriller is flawed it at least manages to convey the setting in an effective way where the claustrophobic, tense and desperate situation is perfectly put on screen plus it is acted well enough, I like the score, has some good camerawork and has a gruesome and downbeat ending that I wasn't expecting. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Horrible horrible horrible and nothing but horrible acting, I just wanted to see what was the point of the movie after half way through it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Good God...What a bloody boring movie ! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
