Audience Member Roland Winters didn't even try to be Charlie Chan. This a bad remake of a Mr. Wong movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review bill t Another Charlie Chan dies, another takes his place. Roland Winters is the new Chan, and... well.. they keep looking less and less Oriental all the time, don't they? The plot is pretty good, sort of like a his girl Friday meets Charlie Chan, with Police Sergeant and wise cracking reporter girl friend joining Chan to try to figure out who killed a Chinese Princess. It's certainly not the worst Chan out there. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Roland Winters first effort as Charlie Chan is dull and uninspired with way too much footgae devoted to the clueless detective investigating the crime and his reporter girlfriend. This does feature a lot more interesting locations than the previous Chan film, "The Trap", but in the end is only worth watching as a curiosity piece to check out the new Chan.
