Gayle Wonderful portrayals and filled with first joy and then tension and then heartbreak. The actors really lived their characters and J Roumie is my favorite actor in the role of Jesus ever. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/08/25 Full Review Audience Member I feel like I'm there when watching, present in the moment. This is a must watch for followers of Jesus. In fact I believe with a non-biased approach, anyone could enjoy The Chosen Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/03/25 Full Review Melanie T The Chosen is unlike anything I’ve ever watched. Yes, it’s a scripted series—it’s not a word-for-word retelling of the Bible, and I’m fully aware that creative liberties are taken. But that doesn’t take away from its impact—in fact, it’s one of the reasons I love it so much. The way it’s written and portrayed helps me, as a visual learner, connect with the biblical narrative on a deeper, more personal level. Watching it brings the people of the Bible to life—not just as distant historical figures, but as real humans with struggles, personalities, and stories that feel so relatable. It’s one thing to read about the disciples, but it’s another to see their journeys unfold—how they wrestle with doubt, wrestle with faith, and grow in relationship with Jesus. I see myself in so many of their emotions, questions, and failures—and it reminds me how patient and personal Jesus truly is. What I love most is how it points everything back to Jesus. His compassion, His strength, His humble authority—it all comes through in such a raw and meaningful way. Even when the show takes creative steps to fill in the gaps between the biblical events, it still maintains reverence and plausibility, always leading me back to Scripture. This series hasn’t replaced my Bible reading—it’s enhanced it. After watching, I find myself opening up the Word with fresh eyes, connecting emotionally and spiritually to stories I’ve known for years. The Chosen has helped deepen my faith, stirred my heart, and reminded me that God chooses the broken, the overlooked, and the imperfect—and calls them beloved. If you’ve ever struggled to connect with the Bible or wanted to feel closer to Jesus, I can’t recommend The Chosen enough. It’s genuine, powerful, and full of heart—and for me, it’s been a beautiful bridge to deeper understanding and intimacy with God. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/26/25 Full Review Read all reviews
