Direction is another weak point. The pacing works against the story, making everything feel forced rather than earned. Quick cuts and tonal shifts prevent the film from finding a consistent rhythm or genuine holiday warmth. The performances suffer as a result. The cast often feels like they are reciting lines instead of inhabiting their roles, which kills any chance of believable chemistry or charm.
