Audience Member this film is extremely good great cast great script and great characters. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was absolutely amazing. Gospel Singers are under the microscope more than any other kind of artist. Not only do they have to sing, but they are obligated to live the life they sing about as if they don't have personal lives. The Clark Sister showed us that they are just as human as we are and have the same kind of problems, mistakes, setbacks, and disappoints as all of us have endured. The blessing of it all is watching them show us how they continued to manifest and embodied the true essence of faith, love, and family through it all. This movie brings back so many great memories of my youth and the church. The Clark Sisters will always remain a blessing to us all. Thank you Dr Mattie Moss-Clark, your legacy will continue forever! Nell Minow RogerEbert.com It's called The Clark Sisters, but this movie belongs to Aunjanue Ellis, who gives a dazzling performance. Rated: 3.5/4 Apr 28, 2020 Full Review Joelle Monique AV Club Ellis' performance as Mattie is enough to boost opinion of the film as a whole... The story of the Clark sisters may be muddled by opinion, but Miss Mattie Moss Clark's story rings clear as a bell. Rated: C+ Apr 8, 2020 Full Review Sr. Rose Pacatte St. Anthony Messenger The story of these powerful women draws you in. It is easy to identify with the domestic trials and challenges the family faces. May 27, 2020 Full Review Armond White National Review This trifling TV movie neglects the essence of black American church culture, settling for the clichéd politicized feminism that disrespects black religious faith.
