Late R It's got a good, eerie atmosphere and it's well-acted, but I'm not sure what the intention or point of this film is; what is writer/director Helena Taberna trying to say? It seems she doesn't know herself because ‘The Cliff' is just a nonsensical sequel of events where nothing is explained, little background is given, and the characters aren't given any backstory, depth, or development. Things just happen because they happen, and that's it. It had the chance to say something (it was probably trying, but doing a poor job) about cults praying on the vulnerable, past trauma, and the decisions made that determine your future, but it doesn't really do any of that effectively and once you reach the predictable ending, you've likely lost all interest.
