Dwight Brown National Newspaper Publishers Association Kwang-bin Kim's thoughtful script grows on you. The realm of the dead land he creates, thanks to a visionary tech crew, is just enough to scare you. Dec 10, 2020 Full Review Ezequiel Boetti Otroscines.com The Closet runs through habitual territory, jump scares and plot twists that will slowly begin to complete the puzzle... the suspense ultimately uplifts this film that until then was barely restrained. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3/5 Jul 28, 2022 Full Review Guillermo Courau La Nación (Argentina) The most interesting part about debutant director Kim Kwang-bin's film is not its premise, but how he crafts this horror journey. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3/5 Jul 28, 2022 Full Review Ernesto Diezmartinez Cine Vértigo A solid horror film that also works as a powerful social denunciation. The worst horrors are not supernatural. Rated: 2/4 Nov 11, 2021 Full Review James Mudge easternKicks.com It's rare to find a horror that's both frightening and genuinely moving, though The Closet pulls this off with confidence, and is all the more effective for its depth Rated: 4.5/5 Mar 5, 2021 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Whilst the story arc works well enough and the action scenes are gripping, K-horror fans would be forgiven for thinking that they've seen this before - shadows, knives, scary little girls and all. Hoàng N pretty scary and happy ending :))) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Sandra B I absolutely love horror movies especially international ones from Asia as there are so many tales, myths, and urban legends to explore. I absolutely love this movie. I hope that there is a second one. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/16/22 Full Review Shayla S A touching dark and scary story about the relationship between a father and daughter. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/15/22 Full Review Audience Member Ever been afraid of what's hiding inside your closet? It's not the most original horror movie, using absolutely every cliche in the book. But thanks to high production value, as well as Ha Jeong-Woo's and Kim Nam-Gil's performances, it's entertaining nonetheless. One of the better Korean horror productions recently. Check out more Korean horror reviews at creepysoba.com! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Bad but at least a lot of things happened Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A film that is definitely worth watching with a good story and a relatively good atmosphere. Definitely don't expect a movie hit, but you certainly won't be bored or at least I wasn't bored. It's not a movie where there is a lot of blood and film effects, but it's a cool horror movie and you're sure to find your fans who love ghost horror. And the film's conclusion was also quite successful, about how some people can be cruel to their own children. I definitely recommend this film to anyone who likes ghost horror movies.
