The Cobbler is the rare movie so terrible that it's hard to figure out why it even exists, why somebody didn't run in front of the speeding train of its production yelling, "Stop!"

I was shocked to see such low reviews for a film that in my opinion deserves a lot, nice idea at the base and a film enjoyable from start to finish (even if I would have preferred it to end with the revelation at the barber shop), I particularly admired the possibility given to other lesser-known actors to feel like the protagonists of the film even just for a few scenes, really enjoyable movie, recommended

If you’re looking for something to watch tonight (or soon), I highly recommend The Cobbler (2014) starring Adam Sandler. I have no idea how this movie slipped past me, but it did — and I was surprised to see Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 10%. Personally, I think that’s way too harsh. Critics often box Adam Sandler in as “the silly comedy guy” or stick him in the rom-com lane, but this film shows more range. The Cobbler still has that Sandler charm and humor, but it also mixes in drama and a few unexpected genre twists I won’t spoil. So, kick off your shoes (pun intended), check your streaming services, or even rent/buy it. I think you’ll enjoy it. 🎭
