TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Dec 15 The Company We Keep is a 2025 thriller that ultimately falls flat, failing to deliver on any of the tension or intrigue it promises. The film starts slowly, taking nearly 45 minutes before any semblance of excitement or momentum appears, leaving the audience bored and disengaged. The pacing is uneven, and key plot points are delayed unnecessarily, which weakens the suspense and overall impact. Direction feels uninspired, lacking any creative vision to make the story compelling or visually engaging. The screenplay is poorly constructed, with dialogue that feels clunky and inconsistent, and characters that are underdeveloped. Santiago, though experienced, is miscast, and Cary Mark’s performance comes across as stiff and unconvincing, making it difficult to connect with the narrative. Overall, The Company We Keep is a slow, tedious film that struggles to justify its runtime and fails to deliver a satisfying cinematic experience. There are some real moments in this film the actors, the writing, directing and theme really vibe together well and build tension to a gory conclusion . The shock value , when you realize this is based on reality and true events is enough to make you wretch your popcorn onto that 8 doller Starbucks frozen beverage you are enjoying , and beg to unsee the horror , too late sweetheart , ride it out to the end , it's worth it Welcome to the American nightmare See more Read all reviews
