Google It was a little cheesy. Acting just okay and pretty simple set. Price too expensive for the quality of the film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/05/23 Full Review Gary and Becky Newport I loved the musical. It was funny, entertaining and decent with a christian message. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/10/23 Full Review T G Review: https://wp.me/p65txm-dFX/#ConfessionMusicalMovie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/03/23 Full Review Robin W Wonderfully done! Excellent acting. Musical numbers are very good, some are especially touching and so beautiful. I think the story almost has more meaning and depth with the musical numbers. Even though I'd read the book some time ago and I knew how it was going to go, I laughed and cried and sighed. This stage play really brought out the story and has been updated to this generation. It's a Christian story about love and adoption, devotion to one another through everything. Did I mention Katie's fiancé who was believed to have drowned? The Mothers song with Katie joining in made me sob. So much beauty. There are wonderful messages about salvation and forgiveness embedded. And the comedy is great. Chonda somewhat stole the show at times, excellently. Even though it puts you through the wringer emotionally, it makes you feel better for having watched it. Filled with mystery, romance, greed, death, villians, grief, and the shared love of God, there is never a dull moment. I just loved the singing and the real to life acting. The lovable couple that played the servants, (in real life, I'm sure I know them), were spot on in their roles. The mother who was loving, kind, and made sure to share the love of God with everyone, was also one of my favorite charactors. Life is not all roses and come to find out the Amish have problems too. I'm sure you will love watching this musical movie as much as I did. Many thanks to Blue Gate Musicals for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Cindy N The play is a mixture of a dramatic story of secrets and separations that touch the heart and the music and merriment give the play an entertainment value to delight audiences. However, with a running time of 3 hours, I wouldn't advise bringing children. This is great for fans of Beverly Lewis books or as a Girl's Night Out event.
