jesse o If you like your films with a lot of treacly sentimentality, then boy is this the film for you. It's a film that is like this from beginning to end. Basically the film has to do with this brother and sister, who has a hump on her back that is a source of embarrassment to her brother, and how their "relationship" develops throughout the hardships they face. The movie would've been fine if it actually tried to believably portray this brother/sister relationship, but instead it chooses to go the sentimental and it makes the little girl look like a muppet. It doesn't help that the film's score sounds like it was recorded from one of those very cheap keyboards that can make different types of sounds. The film isn't particularly funny either, the drama, of course, is terrible. It's just constant sentimentality and I can't stand it, it's not good storytelling. The acting was at least decent, but other than that there's not much to like about the film. Perhaps I overrated this film now that I think about it, but it isn't bad per se. It just relies on constant melodrama and that gets in the way of this being a good film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member very touching movie :D Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member It is beautiful touching and not pretentious film. It is not melodramatic but touch you in every way. The tale of wings hidden in the hump is brilliantly open up to the end, just stunning. I didn't shed tears for the death of the little girl, but satisfying for her dream came true to the end when the picture moving away to the lights of the whole city. She was an angle before and after. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
