While Gens remains a cinematic visualist worth keeping tabs on, why he signed on to make a film this condescendingly dogmatic is a question I'll likely never know the answer to. Go to Full Review

A lifeless demonic possession drama. Go to Full Review

The scenery was stunning and the support acting was wonderful. While the lackluster story and sleepy lead slowed things down, it still made for a moderately entertaining watch. Go to Full Review

'The Crucifixion': A clumsy product that conveys a feeling of constant déjà vu. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Darrell S 5d There are 2 big issues I find with this film. The first is that Sophie Cookson looks like a teenager trying to be a journalist. The role required someone more mature. The second is that like most films in this genre they make the mistake of portraying the unbelievers as those who can overcome demons faster than believers. There are some good pieces in this movie that will lead the viewer to want to see how it plays out, but it gets unrealistic and stupid by the end. See more Eye C @ECinc Oct 13 A messy, uninteresting film with deficiencies in the acting and directing, which also relies too heavily on screams and jump scares to "be scary." A botched exorcism is approached from a journalistic perspective with the aim of investigating the team of priest and nuns who performed the ritual and are now in jail for murder. What sounded genuinely interesting, its development ends up ruining the premise, making the first three-quarters of the movie boring. It gets more interesting at the end, but by then it's too late; all I wanted was for it to be over. See more John D Jul 27 "The Crucifixion" delivers a chilling and captivating portrayal of demonic possession and exorcism, set against the hauntingly beautiful backdrop of Eastern Europe. The atmosphere, suspense, and storytelling kept me engaged throughout. I highly recommend this film! See more Orlando C @orrman Jul 10 I don't believe in jesus christ so I kept imagining it was Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny causing all the ruckus. See more Michael M Mar 11 I really enjoyed this film. I’m a full believer in Jesus Christ and felt it was a reminder of how important it is to believe. A good feel ending too.
