Maude (Beatie Edney) has never been in the company of her eccentric, flashy uncle Silas (Peter O'Toole). But when her father, whose fortune she will inherit on her 21st birthday, names Silas as her guardian, Maude is forced to stay in the man's dark castle and endure his unwelcome advances. Although Maude longs to leave Silas and be with the attractive Capt. Oakley (Simon Shepherd), she underestimates the Machiavellian nature of her uncle, who has set his sights on her inheritance.
