Jim Ross TAKE ONE Magazine ...the lack of any real substance means that the story is destined to fall flat when it most needs and deserves a catharsis. Feb 13, 2020 Full Review Alistair Ryder Gay Essential Even without the descent in to cult-territory, this would still be an effectively and disturbingly bleak effort for its portrayal of a failing relationship. Oct 10, 2019 Full Review Jamie Neish CineVue A bit of a slog as the audience searches for something else to latch on to and sustain interest, only to be left disappointed. Rated: 2/5 Aug 13, 2018 Full Review Dylan Walker Film Inquiry The Dark Mile is a confusing and empty horror film that is completely lacking in any substance. Jul 20, 2017 Full Review Andrew Marshall Starburst The entire final third of the plot appears to be missing. Rated: 4/10 Jul 13, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member boat lesbians were great & the movie had a good atmosphere but i couldn't vibe with the plot Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked this movie - it wasn't terrible, it wasn't great. Loved the set locations, the acting was great, dialogue was alright... the storyline was a little thin, wouldn't call this a horror film, suspense! Sure... overall it was a pleasure to watch but not very memorable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Rarely has 93 minutes felt so long. My 90-minute session in the sensory deprivation tank sped by more quickly than this movie did. It's all build-up and no payoff. You'll guess the bad guy from the beginning, but unfortunately we have no idea why the bad guy is doing what they do, and it took 85 of the 93 minutes to see what the danger is. None of the characters act like normal people would act, and I was unclear exactly what the nature of this boating trip really was. It seemed like they were returning to the same port each time, which I guess makes sense, yet at certain scenes the characters dock in the middle of nowhere and start running around the forests. What? The actors weren't bad, but there was so little for them to do that if they were good, I wouldn't be able to tell. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews
