Restoring much of Looney Tunes' quintessential charm with a daffy dose of high energy and inventive gags, The Day the Earth Blew Up goes to show that these iconic characters remain evergreen fun.

Adam Graham Detroit News It shows that what has worked for generations can still work today, given the right care, attention to detail and loony spirit. Rated: B Mar 17, 2025 Full Review Kyle Smith Wall Street Journal The near-dozen writers veer between ungainly slapstick, so-so meta-humor, trite cultural references, desperate puns, and occasional jarring vulgarity that can fairly be called deth-picable. Mar 15, 2025 Full Review David Ehrlich IndieWire “The Day the Earth Blew Up” isn’t arguing for the past at the expense of the future, it’s simply trying to put a modern spin on a classic formula in a way that makes you wonder why we ever left it behind. Rated: B- Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Guillermo Courau La Nación (Argentina) The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie may not be the best or most memorable, but it satisfies as an enjoyable pastime in tune with its legacy. Javier C A worth watch for any looney tunes fan Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/11/25 Full Review Conscience_Consumer I took my 7 year old to this movie, thinking it would be a great kids movie. This Looney Tunes movie was littered with adult content and innuendos. Most of the female characters were overly sexulized. And the alien gum scene terrified my son. Looney Tunes has lost its way from the fun and wacky cartoons I used to watch as a child. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/08/25 Full Review gabryela Very silly and entertaining. I look forward to seeing a sequel. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/07/25 Full Review peter p It has been a long time since I felt the need to pre-order a movie immediately after leaving the theater. It makes me long for a wave of 2-D style of animation in the theater. Please to whoever is reading this stop what you are doing and just make some time in your day to watch some classic cartoons because right now all I want to do is watch some Looney tunes and Laugh!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/06/25 Full Review Leo warner bros really shot themselves in the foot by not properly promoting this movie! I cannot recommend it enough, if you love 2d animation or are just looking for good laugh definitely check this one out on theaters while you still can! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/06/25 Full Review Joe S Excellent return to form for the Warner Bros toons! It had laughs for the kids and parents, was absolutely gorgeous old school hand drawn animation, & had a decent twist (if absurdly silly throughout). Recommend seeing it with children, unless you're a die hard Looney tunes fan. If you are, you've already seen it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/06/25 Full Review Read all reviews
