In the sleepy small town of Centerville, something is not quite right. The moon hangs large and low in the sky, the hours of daylight are becoming unpredictable, and animals are beginning to exhibit unusual behaviors. News reports are scary, and scientists are concerned, but no one foresees the strangest and most dangerous repercussion that will soon start plaguing Centerville: the dead rise from their graves and feast on the living, and the citizens must battle to survive.

The angriest movie I've seen all year. This is Jim Jarmusch putting a very strong environmentalist stance in the middle of a zombie movie.

The zombie genre is now close to exhaustion -- though this is not a problem for Jarmusch who likes his premises threadbare, all the better to distil them into absurdist ritual.

The Dead Don’t Die isn’t Jarmusch’s best and it isn’t the best zombie comedy by any means, but it’s amusingly sardonic and quirky with a stellar cast to boot.

If you like dry dark comedies like those done by the Coen Brothers, you would likely appreciate this movie. I think it has something for everyone, but if you don’t like slower paced films, then you should probably move on.

It is smart enough to be different that previous zombie horror-comedies like Zombieland and Shaun Of The Dead and has that unique Jamusch stamp on it which will mean it is a film that will be adored by those who love his unique style of filmmaking.
